Katharina Turgay, Daniel Gutzmann, and Kristina Liefke have founded a new journal at the intersection of linguistic semantics/pragmatics and philosophy of language: Meaning: a journal of linguistics and philosophy.
Meaning is a diamond open access journal, which means that all articles are immediately available free of charge, and authors do not pay any fees. Meaning is supported by the Ruhr University Library, which provides hosting and backend services.
Meaning aims to become one of the top journals for “meaning studies.” In addition to the three founding members of Ruhr University, the editorial board includes 30 internationally renowned scholars from the fields of linguistics and philosophy of language, and the advisory board consists of current or former editors of other established journals.
Submissions are now being accepted at www.meaning-journal.org. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The first publications are expected at the end of the year.
